There are no classes that can fit into my schedule, what should I do?
Call or e-mail with three or more children we are always happy to create a class at a time not shown on the schedule.

What if the semester has already started and we would like to register late?
Register, the classes are pro-rated, so you don’t pay for any of the classes which have already been missed.

My child may be advanced for his/her age and I am not sure what class to register for?
Call and your child can be tested for an advanced class or put in with an older age group.

What should my child wear to gymnastics classes?
a leotard
a shirt that can be tucked in
pants or shorts with no zipper or buckle
no sneakers
if socks are worn , must be cotton non slip
no jewelry
hair must be pulled back away from face

Do you offer trial classes?
You can do a trial class which is limited to NEW Students Only. If you're unsure of the class or how it'll fit in your schedule, schedule a trial class first to see if it's the right for you. If your child likes the class and wishes to continue you will be charged for the classes for the remaining of the session including that trial class. You can email or call us to schedule your trial class today!

How do I register for classes?
We are only accepting online registrations. It's the easiest and fastest way. Please note that because it's all online, it's a first come first serve basis. When registering you must enter credit card information. The credit card information is to hold your spot. Please make a note in the comment section if you would like to use a different card to pay for the class.
If you are currently registered for a class, and signing up for the next session please use your login in information to register for the next session. If you do not use your login in information, you will create a new account.

Can I suggest a day and time for a class, that I don't see on the schedule?
Yes. You may contact the office to request the day/time. Upon approval by TopFlight Academy management, we will list the class on our schedule. We need 5 people to run a class.

Is there any membership fees when signing up?
We Have An Annual $45 Membership Fee For The First Child & Our Family Annual Membership Fee is $70 Total.

Is there a discount for family members?
One child will be full price, while the next will get 10% off. Instead of Our Annual $45 Membership Fee, Our Family Membership Fee is $70.

What is your refund policy?
The tuition is non-refundable to those who quit or decide to leave the program by choice. We do not offer a refund for the Annual Membership Fee.

What should my child wear?
We offer TopFlight Academy leotards dependent on the child's size and class when you initially register online. All students with hair that is at least shoulder length must have their hair up. * If you are doing a trial class and don't have a leotard please wear form fitting clothes. * Children wearing buttons, or zippers will not be allowed on the bars.
Barefoot is preferred for all gymnastics students. Cheer students are allowed to wear cheer shoes, but not regular sneakers.
No jewelry is allowed for students participating with the exception of stud earrings.

What are your class procedures?
Try to arrive about five minutes early before your class. Children should put their belongs onto the shelves, and wait for a teacher. A teacher will come to collect all students for all classes. Bathrooms are located in the front of the facility near the front desk and dance studio. Try to use the bathroom before the class starts. Students are not allowed in the gym until class starts unless it's to use the bathroom.

What do I do if my child missed a class?
Don't worry. Everyone is allowed 2 make-up classes for any classes missed. We usually schedule a couple different make-up days through the session. Please make sure to make up any missed classes before the session ends. Any classes that were not made up do not carry over to the next session.

How will I know when my child is ready to move up to the next level?
Typically, your child's coach will proactively notify you when they are ready to move up. However, if you do have questions in that regard, you can contact the office.

What happens when there is inclement weather?
It is always the parent's discretion whether or not it is safe to drive and want their child to attend a class. If we are closing the gym due to inclement weather please check your email or our website. If we do close due to inclement weather, we will schedule a makeup class.

I'm not receiving any emails. What should I do?
Please check with the office staff to make sure we have all your current information. It is your responsibly to make sure all the information we have is current and updated online.

I want my child to be on team, how do I go about getting them on?
There are several ways that you can become a team member. The first is to schedule a team evaluation. Those are normally done one-on-one with a coach and take up to 15 minutes.
The other is to sign your child up for a class. We are constantly looking at all classes to see who we can invite to a team programs. Typically after each of our sessions, we will invite select students to do a mass try out for our team program(s).

Do you offer private lessons? How do I schedule it? Is there an age limit?
We do offer an array of private lessons, for any age or level. For one child you can either do half an hour, or an hour. If you would like to do a private lesson with a friend, it must be for a half an hour. Please call us at 908.350.8018 for pricing, and scheduling.

All students should be physically healthy before participating in gymnastics. Staff should be made aware of any allergies, ailments, or special needs.
